Last weekend, Eastwood travelled to Fleetwood Town and despite the result, I enjoyed the opportunity to go up and see for myself the transformation that Fleetwood have undergone since the last time I visited.

The set up really is impressive with three new stands being built. One of the stands includes a ‘sports bar’ which would not beout of place as an up market town centre bar.

Our supporters certainly enjoyed the bar facilities and commented on how impressed they were with the overall set up. As for the pitch, it was immaculate with pop up sprinklers which were utilised during half time to ensure the pitch was kept in topcondition for the second half.

This club really is geared for life in the conference premier and beyond and I congratulate everyone associated with the club and it's progression. The visit emphasised to everyone involved with Eastwood Town, how much needs to be done at our ground to bring it up to scratch over the coming seasons.

Plans have already been drawn up and agreed and I amlooking forward to playing my part in the development of a club thatonly a few seasons ago was fighting to get out of the Northern Counties East league.

In the football league this week, I was particularly interested in my old club, Notts County’s new signing, Sol Campbell. This illustratesthe effect Sven is having on attracting big names to Meadow Lane.

Campbell has had a long career and I’m sure he still has a lot to give Nott’s County and his arrival will assist the clubs ambition forpromotion this season.

They have already got off to a great startthis season and I’m sure supporters will be relieved to finally begetting some fantastic results and are now more optimistic about the clubs future. Attendance has also already improved, so all in all itlooks like Sven’s arrival has had the desired effect so far.
